This is, no doubt, the most premium looking hex/ trap bar I have ever seen or used. I unboxed it and it was daunting at first because it comes completely unassembled, but I am used to putting things together. Please note that you will need a spanner set and an allen key set to assemble this bad boy. I unwrapped all the components and got to work. The finish of the product is fantastic, the powder coated parts have been done properly and the Olympic plate sleeve ons have a premium chrome plating on them as well as the knurled grips. The instruction manual makes it fairly easy to understand and then I had this hex bar assembled. You can use standard hole plates on this bar as well, if you don’t have olympic plates. If you have olympic plates, then you attach the olympic plate sleeves. What sets this hex/ trap bar apart from the others is that it hasn’t been carbon copied off all the other standard hex/ trap bars out there since they all look the same. This one is truly unique. For starters, the hex has four feet placed in strategic places which lifts it off the ground and the plate pegs are elevated so no need to struggle when putting a plate onto the bar. No lifting off the ground before sliding a plate on which is a huge relief. Plates slide on and off with minimal effort. Next are the knurled grips. There are THREE grips on each handle. A thin grip, a medium grip and a phat grip which gives varietyt to training and methods of training to achieve your goals. This really is a once off bar and you will never need another hex/ trap bar again. I am very happy with this purchase.
