Sonja Aquamarine 1950s Dress and Bolero Set – RETROSPEC’D

Description PLEASE NOTE: The fabric is non-stretch shantung, which is taffeta twill. It runs large, approximately 1/2 a size. A stunning two-piece set that gives you the coverage of a sleeve but the movement and comfort of a separate bolero! Cocktail and evening fabrics tend to be very difficult to make into dresses with comfortable sleeves, due to the fact that the fabrics have no give or stretch, so we decided to go with a detachable sleeve. We've designed the bolero so it sits perfectly over the side of the dress so when it's on, you can hardly tell that it's a two-piece. The dress itself is a halter with wide straps that are adjustable and comfortable around the neck but does not add an extra layer of fabric on your back, to keep you cooler. You could even wear this one with a regular bra if you didn't intend to take the bolero off. We've matched the elegant bodice with a circular, panelled skirt (with pockets, of course) for an extra glamorous look. Skirt length: 71 cm. Size/ Bust/ Underbust/ Waist (cm). 12/ 90-95/ 84/ 80.
