Finally, make the most of your solar power Do you already have a solar power system but feed most of the electricity into the grid because you can't use it during the day? The Solis S6-EA1P4.6K-L with Pylontech US5000 storage solves precisely this problem. During the day, excess solar power is stored in the battery – in the evenings and at night, you can use this energy and significantly reduce your need to buy expensive grid electricity. This allows you to increase your self-consumption to up to 70% and save several hundred euros annually. AC coupling – simple retrofitting without interfering with the PV system The major advantage: The Solis S6-EA1P4.6K-L is AC-coupled and is simply connected between your existing inverter and the house's electrical distribution system. Your existing solar system remains completely untouched – regardless of whether you have a string inverter or a micro-inverter. The system works with virtually any grid-connected PV system and is ready for use in just a few hours. Pylontech US5000 – proven storage technology The Pylontech US5000 is based on safe LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) technology and offers a capacity of 4,8 kWh (approx. 4,56 kWh usable). With over 6.000 charge cycles and a lifespan of over 15 years, you are investing in a durable solution. The integrated battery management system (BMS) protects the cells from overcharging and deep discharging, ensuring optimal lifespan. Flexibly expandable Need more storage capacity later? The Pylontech US5000 can be expanded with additional modules. This way, your storage grows with your needs – without having to replace the entire system. Intelligente Steuerung and Überwachung With the SolisCloud app, you can keep track of your energy flows. You can see in real time how much electricity you are currently generating, consuming, storing, or drawing from the grid. Time-controlled charging and discharging programs (time-of-use) enable intelligent energy management – for example, targeted charging during off-peak electricity tariffs. Installation note Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The system must be registered with the grid operator and entered in the market master data register. Advantages of the overall solution Maximum self-consumption: Excess solar energy is stored and used later – resulting in less grid consumption and lower electricity bills. Emergency power capability: In the event of a power outage, power supply for critical loads can be enabled (depending on the system configuration). Compatible & modular: It works with most grid-connected PV systems and is scalable. Intelligent energy management: Useful features such as time-of-use charging plans and peak shaving improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Retrofit solution: Perfect for upgrading existing PV installations without interfering with the DC string of the modules. The Solis S6-EA1P4.6K-L Pylontech US5000 storage solution is an efficient, flexible and future-proof storage solution for residential PV systems, which efficiently upgrades existing systems. It helps to use more solar energy on-site, reduce electricity costs, and at the same time keep the power supply stable when needed. Yes, that's precisely the purpose of this system. The Solis S6-EA1P4.6K-L is AC-coupled and works with virtually any grid-connected PV system – regardless of whether you have string inverters, microinverters, or an older system. The system is simply installed between your existing inverter and the house's electrical distribution panel. Your existing solar system remains completely untouched. How much can I save through the storage system? This depends on your electricity consumption and the size of your system. A typical example: For a household with an annual consumption of 4.000 kWh and a 5 kWp PV system, you can increase self-consumption from about 30% (without storage) to up to 70% (with storage). At an electricity price of 35 cents/kWh, this means additional savings of about 400-600 euros per year. The storage system thus pays for itself in about 6-9 years. Is 4,8 kWh of storage capacity sufficient? For a 2-3 person household with average consumption, the 4,8 kWh storage system is a good starting point. It bridges the typical evening and night hours when no solar power is being produced. The usable capacity of approximately 4,5 kWh corresponds, for example, to: refrigerator (24 hours), TV in the evening (3 hours), lighting (5 hours), laptop charging, and still some reserve power. If your needs increase, you can expand the storage system later with additional Pylontech modules. What does AC-coupled mean and why is it important? AC-coupled means that the battery inverter is connected on the AC side (after the PV inverter). The major advantage: you don't have to change anything on your existing solar system. The system functions completely independently of your current inverter. With DC-coupled systems (hybrid inverters), on the other hand, you would have to replace your entire PV inverter – significantly more complex and expensive. Can I expand the storage later? Yes, the Pylontech US5000 has a modular design. You can operate up to 8 modules in parallel, expanding the capacity to up to 38,4 kWh. Expansion is achieved by simply adding more battery modules – communication takes place via the shared BMS (Battery Management System). Do I need a special electricity meter? In most cases, you can continue using your existing bidirectional meter (feed-in meter). The included 3-phase meter is used for internal measurement and control of the system – it tells the inverter when to charge or discharge. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
