They not only capture sunlight coming directly from the sky, but also light reflected from the ground or nearby surfaces. The 5,3kW system with 4,8 kWh storage is ideally suited for 2-3 person households with an annual consumption of 2.500 to 4.000 kWh. It is a compact and affordable solution for getting started with self-generated electricity with storage. How big does my roof need to be? You will need approximately 25 m² of free roof space for the 12 solar panels. Ideally, the panels should face south, southwest, or southeast. East-west facing roofs are also possible, but will result in lower energy yields. What is the difference compared to our Sofar PV systems? This system utilizes the proven Solis hybrid inverter in combination with the Pylontech US5000 lithium battery. Pylontech is an established manufacturer of battery storage systems with an excellent battery management system. The Solis inverter comes with a 10-year warranty and is compatible with many different storage systems. Can I expand the storage later? Yes, the Pylontech US5000 system is modularly expandable. You can add more US5000 modules to increase the storage capacity. Up to 15 modules can be connected in parallel. The expansion must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Does the system have an emergency power function? The Solis S5 EH1P inverter features a backup function. In the event of a power outage, essential appliances can continue to be supplied via a separate emergency power circuit. This must be configured separately during installation. Can I expand the storage later? Yes, the Sofar BTS system is modular. You can add up to 2 additional BTS 5K modules and increase the storage capacity to up to 20,48 kWh. The expansion must be carried out by a qualified electrician and reported to the grid operator. What is the actual power output of the modules? Depending on availability, we supply modules with 445W or higher power output. You will receive at least the specified total output of 5,34 kWp, often even slightly more. The exact module power output can be found on the labels on the modules. Who is authorized to install the system? Connection to the power grid must be carried out exclusively by a qualified electrician registered with the grid operator. The installation of the modules on the roof should be carried out by a specialist company (e.g., roofer or solar installer). What registrations are required? The system must be registered with the local grid operator before commissioning. Registration in the market master data register of the Federal Network Agency is also legally required. Your qualified electrician can assist you with this. What annual return can I expect? With optimal south-facing orientation and a 30° roof pitch, you can expect an annual yield of 4.500 to 5.500 kWh in Germany. The actual yield depends on your location, roof orientation, pitch, and any shading. Is the Solis cloud free? Yes, using the Solis cloud to monitor and control your system is permanently free.
