You will need approximately 50 m² of free roof space for the 24 solar panels. Ideally, the panels should face south, southwest, or southeast. East-west facing roofs are also possible, but will result in lower energy yields. How does the emergency power function work? The Sofar hybrid inverter features an emergency power function. In the event of a power outage, the system automatically switches to island mode and supplies a separate emergency power circuit with energy from the battery storage. This emergency power circuit must be configured separately during installation and can, for example, power appliances such as a refrigerator, router, or lighting. Can I expand the storage later? Yes, the Sofar BTS system is modular. You can add up to 2 additional BTS 5K modules and increase the storage capacity to up to 20,48 kWh.
